Description: Poricidal anthers are those that open by a terminal pore represented in this drawing by the black anther tips. Unidimensional filaments possess no expansions throughout their length in contrast to clavate filaments which are club-shaped (clavate) toward their apices.

Notes:

In the New World Lecythidaceae, unidimensional filaments are found mostly in Allantoma, Cariniana, Grias, and Gustavia. The other types of filaments in Lecyhidaceae are the clavate and tapered types.
