Even if you have never attended a sleepaway summer camp, chances are you've gotten a glimpse of life at camp through movies, books, and even radio¹. Campers might be too busy—making crafts, singing songs, pulling pranks—to really notice the plants around them. But some people notice their fellow plant campers by collecting and creating herbarium specimens. Here is a collection of plants collected at summer camps across the United States; even one collected in the camp's swimming pond!
