Árbol de hojas compuestas con flores en racimos grandes amarillos y frutas en vainas alargadas castaño rojizo o negro. La infusión de la pulpa de la fruta ha sido efectiva como laxante. Crece a orillas de carreteras, pastos y colinas en Puerto Rico. Nativo de Asia está distribuido en las Islas Vírgenes e Indias Occidentales. Tree of compound leaves, flowers in great yellow racemes, and fruits in long reddish black or brown pods. The infusion of the pulp of its fruit has been effective as a laxative. It grows along borders of highways, grasslands, and hills in Puerto Rico. A native of Asia is distributed in the Virgin Islands and West Indies.
