The long-term goal of this project is to make species pages for the Vascular Plants of the Osa Peninsula available over the Internet. On the species pages, information about the accepted names, basyonyms, synonyms, references of original publications, morphological descriptions, common names, distribution, ecology, phenology, pollination, dispersal, taxonomic notes, conservation, uses and etymology are provided. In addition, images of the species are attached to the pages if they are available. Scroll down this page and click on the family, generic, or species names of Capparaceae or Lecythidaceae to access the pages describing these taxa.

To see a specimen-based checklist for all families on the Osa click on “CHECKLISTS” in the banner of this and other pages.
