Description:

Tree to 10 m. Pedicels rose red, sepals pale rose brown, petals rose, staminodial cap pale rose, filaments white, anthers yellow. Young fruits brown. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Mixed forest, dominated by Lecythidaceae, on laterite soil.
