Location:

United States of America. Utah. Juab Co. Deep Creek Range, northeast of Haystack Peak, Tom's Creek Canyon; several, from crevices between boulders on NE-facing granite cliffs in pine-fir forest south of creek ca. 6 miles WNW of the old CCC camp on Trout Creek - Callao Road, ca. 8 air miles WSW of Callao. Alt. 2438 m. (7999 ft.)

Description:

Shrub ca. 1 m tall. petals white; anthers yellow; flowers very fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.

Habitat:

From crevices between boulders on NE-facing granite cliffs in pine-fir forest. Several. Sandy loam soil, pH ca. 6.0.
