Description:

Slender herb to about 12 cm. Stems dark purplish-red. Sepals deep purplish red. Corolla bright yellow with darker boss on lower lip. Spur orange-tinged. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Water-worn, horizontally-bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh, exposed rock and waterfall. Open scrub to closed low woodland in the drier areas.
