Location:

Costa Rica. Heredia. Parque Nac. Braulio Carrillo, Puesto El Ceibo, above steep rim of the Río Peje gorge on the west side. Along side path that goes from guard house to water supply intake, about 15 minutes uphill. Transect 500-1. Alt. 520 m. (1706 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 7.1 cm. Fruits tan, with orange-brown lenticels. Fruits borne only at tips of lower most branches. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary Premontane Wet Forest.
