Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Florida Prov. 8 km NE of crossing of Río Paredones (N of Achiras Camping resort), along trail to Barrientos. Alt. 1900 - 2000 m. (6234 - 6562 ft.)

Description:

One patch in recent chaco now planted to peaches, but no other ornamentals seen and Heliconia seen scattered in natural habitats here. Leaves tattered by the wind. Inflorescence erect; bracts red; petals yellow with green at tip.
Habitat:

Slope forest with some clearings.
