Description:

Tree. Tree 22 m, fruits broadly ellipsoid, 5.5 cm long. USE: Mature fruits edible, used to make a "refresco" or fruit juice. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Restinga -- forest on high terrace, level terrain, reportedly regenerating from dominant arborescent bamboo die-back 2-3 years ago.
