Description:

Small erect tree. Stem terete, 8 inches thick, 25 ft high, with its main branches arising from below the middle; wood quite soft, bitter, odorless, dingy white, light; bark grayish or yellowish white mottled, cremeus except the smooth epidermis; main branches ascending, numerously rebranched, the branchlets very lax and nearly castaneous; leavea ascending or horizontal; leaflets submembranous, very dark yet shining green above, much paler or relatively yellowish green beneath, nearly flat, the margins somewhat wavy toward the recurved apex; inflorescences from the terminal leaf axils, similarly arranged, lax and deep green; flowers pendant, subglobose; the 4 perianth segments thick green, rugose, valvate; stamens 4, greenish bending over the ovary so as to cover up the 4 sessile stigmatic lobes with the anthers; ovary short ovoid, 4-lobed, umber-hairy.
