Description:

Fls. yellow in bud; when 10 mm. diam, petals outside white with yellow midrib, inside same. Crown of glands white. Filaments white. Anthers white, later brown. Pistil green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Cut-over & burned campo cerrado, ground ploughed for planting of Pinus. Ground vegetation returning, grasses, herbs, & small shrubs,. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay.
