Description:

terrestrial herb. Herb 1.5-3.5 m, leaf arrangement zingiberoid, inflorescence inflorescence erect/distichous, bracts 5-6, red, first bract very often appendaged, rachis dark red-brown, puberulous, sepals yellow with dark band at tip, ovary green above, yellow below, pedicel light green. white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Dense understory of secondary forest.
