Description:

Tree, 15 m x 20 cm. Slash with red and white vertical streaks and strong menthol scent. Fruit green, immature, 1.5 cm diameter, subspherical. Slash scent collected from 12:50 to 14:55 h, 2 Jul 98; bark shavings replaced in bag after 1 hour. [Bark, young shoot, and fruits pickled in FAA & DNA material collected for Peter Raven]. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Secondary vegetation and somewhat disturbed forest along trail through forest.
