Description:

Plants forming small colonies, flowers orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.

Habitat:

Along banks of creeks. Surrounded by forest of Abies lasiocarpa, Pinus contorta, and Populus tremuloides. Assoc.: Carex microptera, Aster integrifolius, Mimulus moschatus, Senecio streptanthifolius, and Deschampsia cespitosa. Locally common. Moist sandy loam.
