Specimen Notes: Two specimens on this sheet: Isotype (NY 144580) and Not a Type (NY 144581). Annotation by D. B. Lellinger, 1982: According to the original description, the type locality is Turbo, which is in the Depto. Antioquia. At least nowadays, that is an open and nearly fernless area, and so perhaps the type did come from the :Dividing ridge," which is above Río Nercua, Depto. Chocó, Colombia.
