Description:

Shrub 1.5 m tall. Leaves medium green above, dull with depressed nerves; paler green, shiny beneath. Immature fruit white, ripe fruit bright red, shiny. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Habitat:

Area of cerrado vegetation with deep, sandy, rusty red soil. On shady roadbank in secondary gallery forest.
