Location:

Brazil. Tocantins. Presidente Kennedy Mun. Road from highway BR-153 to Itaporã, 12 km west of village of Presidente Kennedy. Fazenda Primavera along Ribeirão Feínho. Locally abundant in understory of gallery forest along Rio Feínho in sandy soil. Alt. 400 - 500 m. (1312 - 1640 ft.)

Description:

Low shrub to 60 cm tall with spreading branches. Bark red-brown. Lvs. lightly bullate, margins strongly undulate, medium green above, lighter green beneath, somewhat shiny on both sides. Sterile. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

Locally abundant in understory of gallery forest. In sandy soil.
