Costa Rica. Puntarenas. Osa (Canton). Moist forest in valley bottoms, tropical wet forest with open understory on steep slopes and ridges, and areas of secondary vegetation north and west of the air field, about 5 km west of Rincón de Osa. Alt. 50 - 200 m. (164 - 656 ft.)

Description:

Tree cut near the ground at 1 m. with several new trunks, these unbranched to the apex, 4-8 m. tall, leaves becoming very large, flowers white, cauliflorous.
