Description:

Tree 25 m tall x 60 cm diameter with buttresses 1.3 m high growing in forest remnant on terra firme near riverbank. Leaves turning bright red. Ovary dark red-purple. Calyx deep rose. Corolla and staminode rose pink. Flowers very showy.
