Description:

Tree, 70 ft. high, 2 ft. dbh. Bark gray, scaly, thick. Tree of forest canopy. Fruits purplish to black, round, 3/8 in. in diam. fleshy, with many brown seeds less than 1/8 in. long. Fruit on a yellow green conical cup 3/16 in.deep and 1/4 in. accross. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Mountain forest.
