Description:

A lofty tree climber, covering the uppermost branches and hanging in large tangled masses from the larger branches. Old stem 1 1/2 inches thick; the branches quite rigid, characteristically curved and crooked, thereby forming rather dense tangled masses; wood moderately hard, whitish with a cinnamon brown pith, tough; old bark brown, peeling in thin scales; leaves lucid, very rigid, dark green above, paler beneath; inflorescences terminal but usually upon subterminal ascending twigs, yellowish, the main branches ascendingly umbvellate, the ends developed into a light creamy white perianth; flowers fragrant.
