Description:

Tree, 8 m., with some orange latex in the bark. Sepals pale green. Petals outside rose, inside dark red at base to rose-white at top. Stamens orange. Stigmas yellow. Fruit tinged with purple, stigmas 4,5 or 6. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Forest edge near savanna.
