Description:

Tree 2.5 m tall, monocaulous. Flowers sessile, light green, subtended by red bracts. Fruits red, fleshy; turning brown and dry when old. Seeds red and probably ant dispersed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Edge of old pasture, secondary forest.
