Description:

Árvore, 18 m x 35 cm diâm. Flores totalmente cor de rosa. Polinizadas por Xylocopa frontalis (BN 1338) e Eulaema mocsaryi (BN 1339). Poucas folhas na árvore na época de floração. Androceu enrolado é esponjoso (adaptação para flutuar e assim atrair polinizadores?). Flor sem cheiro. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Mata de igapó alagada. Árvores infrequentes, longes uma de outra.
