Old fruit, germinating seed, and young seedling of Couratari guianensis based on Reinaldo Aguilar 11682 from the Osa Peninsula, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Note that the collector reports that the seeds had germinated inside of the fruits. The original collection was made in March and the fruit, seeds, and seedlings were collected in August.
