Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Bilsa Biological Station, Sendero Verde. Alt. 500 m. (1640 ft.)

Description:

Tree 30 m tall, 60 cm dbh; trunk straight, without epiphytes. Leaves to 60 x 15 cm. Inflorescences terminal and ramiflorous. Flowers yellow, calyces and petals light-green abaxially ; androphore with 4 coils. Seed coat thick, white. Phenology of specimen: Flower and Fruit.

Habitat:

Premontane wet forest. Infrequent.
