Description:

Tree, up to 40-50 m, strongly butressed, 70-100 cm dbh. Leaves 34 x 13 cm, petiole 14 mm. Flowers large, calyx green at base to red at tips. Petals white, hood yellow-white. Separate: Wood; Flowers and young fruits in alc. Vernacular name: Potaro kakarall.
