Description:

Tree 20 m high, dbh 50 cm., no buttressing. Leaves coriaceous, flushing during early dry season. Fruits brown-fawn, somewhat lenticellate, with sour odor when cut open, containing 4 shiny dark brown seeds which, given moderate rainfall, germinate immediat.
