Description: Two flowers tpes of Asteraceae. If both types of flower are in the same capitulum, the capitulum is called radiate; if only disk flowers are present, the capitulum is called disciform or discoid; and if only ray flowers are present, the capitulum is called ligulate. Capitulum and head are synonyms.
