Description: Flower of Iris lutescens from an unvouchered plant from the Gargano Peninsula, Italy. The receptive area of the stigma appears to be under the narrow flap at the apex of the arrow. I observed pollen inside of the flap. Note the yellow barb on the adaxial surface of the petal. There are yellow and purple flower color variations in this species. Determination by B. Gibbons.
