Ligule arched

Definition:

The ligule departs from the staminal ring and is curved for its entire length or, in other words the ligule curves downward from the middle to both its attachment to the staminal ring and to its distal end.

Notes:

In all species except Couroupita nicaraguarensis, the ligule is separated into and appendage-free ligule and an androecial hood. This term refers to the entire ligule. Couroupita nicaraguarensis does not have an appendage-free ligule and possesses a flat ligule.
