Definition:

A well-defined style that is abruptly bent like a flexed knee.

Notes:

This character is found mostly in species of the Bertholletia excelsa, Lecythis poiteaui, and L. chartacea clades. Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a species has a geniculate or oblique style.
