Definition:

The form of an operculum that possesses a woody extension from the middle of its interior. The opeculum and its extension appear like a large tack.

Notes:

Species of Allantoma, Cariniana, and Couratari have tack-shaped opercula. The columella is derived from the upper septum of species of these genera.
