Term:

Anthers orange
Definition:

Anthers that look orange at anthesis either because the anther is orange or because the pollen is orange.
Notes:

Orange anthers are known only in Couroupita guianensis and C. nicaraguarensis in which they have been seen at anthesis. We do not know if the anthers of these species change color after anthesis and why the anthers are orange in fertile stamens although we hypothesize that they may attract pollinators.
