Description: Imbricate-contorted corolla aestivation of Cistus salvifolius based on an unvouchered plant from the Gargano Peninsula, Italy. The arrangement of the corolla at anthesis is assumed to be the same as it is in bud. Note that the center of the flower is yellow which probably serves as nectar guides to direct bees to the pollinator reward. Most likely that reward is pollen but it could also be nectar. Determination by B. Gibbons.
