Description: Bract and bracteoles of Couroupita guianensis based on an unvouchered cultivated tree at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, Coral Gables, Florida. Note the two bracteoles directly below the hypanthium and the bract at the base of the pedicel. The bract is caducous. The pedicel articulates just above the attachment of the bracteoles.
