The androecial hood is not curved or coiled inward and it is not thickened as viewed in a medial longitudinal section.
Notes:

In the Lecythidaceae, the best examples of flat and thin androecial hoods are found in the sapucaia and L. idatimon groups of Lecythis. There are a number of different types of flat and thin androecial hoods in the Lecythidaceae (see related terms).
