Description: Synandry and secondary pollen presentation of Tragopogon sinuatus based on an unvouchered plant from the Gargano Peninsula, Italy. Note that the yellow pollen is displayed on the exserted style and that the bifid stigma is exserted beyond the pollen. The pollen was shed on the inside of the five connivent anthers and carried upward as the style passed through the middle of the stamens. The pollen was not deposited on the stigmas because they were closed when they passed the anthers. Determination by B. Gibbons.
