Term:

Infracalycine zone truncate
Definition:

An ovary or a fruit which abruptly turns inward from the calycine rim to the pedicel/hypanthium. Same as truncate fruit.
Notes:

This term indicates the orientation of the infracalycine zone, i.e., the course that it follows from the calycine ring to the pedicel/hypanthium. In this type of fruit shape, the infracalycine zone is barely seen when the fruit is viewed from the side.
