Description: Fissured bark of Corythophora rimosa subsp. rimosa based on Mori & Huang 27282 from the Reserva Ducke, Amazonas, Brazil. This species has a thicker outer bark than any other species of Lecythidaceae. The inner bark is laminated and deep red.
