Description: Cultivated seedling of Couratari guianensis based Mori & Kallunki 3063 from Panama. Planted 19 Nov 1974 and photographed 5 Dec 1974. Note the convoluted foliaceous cotyledons. The cotyledons are free from the seed coat (= phanerocotylar cotyledons) and above the ground at germination (epigeal cotyledons). This species has foliaceous cotyledons.
