Description: Suprabasal palinactinodromous leaf venation in Platanus based on an unvouchered tree growing in The New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, New York. The three primary veins arise from the same point but slilghtly above the point at which the petiole attaches to the leaf blade, thus this type of venation is called suprabasal palinactinodromous leaf venation. Note that the lower primary veins branch and this differs this type of venation with actinodromous venation.
