Description:

Pileus up to 5-6 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, finely subtomentose, light ochraceous buff, cream color, warm buff, even at margin. Flesh white, changing to light pinkish, up to 15 mm thick, with mild odor and with a hint of a bitter taste. Tubes adnexed to deeply depressed, white to off white at first, becoming pinkish vinaceous with age, up to 1 cm long, with pores concolorous, staining brownish. Stipe 6-12 cm long, 10-15 mm thick, ±equal to slightly broader below, dry, even to slightly ridged and streaked, glabrous otherwise, sometimes subpruinose below, ±concolorous with pileus but slightly more yellow with age, staining slightly reddish brown with handling, with interior white, as in pileus, with olive yellow stains in base.
Habitat:

Submontane cloud forest. Quercus oocarpa & Quercus sp. Gregarious. On soil.
