Description:
Protologue: 126. BOLETUS HÆDINUS, Berk. & Broome, n. sp. Pileo convexo crasso alutaceo primitus subtomentoso, stipite basin versus incrassato, sursum reticulato concolori, poris pallidis. Pileus 3 inches across; stem 2 inches high, nearly 1 inch thick at the base. Brisbane (F. M. Bailey, no. 231).
Status: Appears to be a distinct species of Tylopilus.
