Description:

Pileus 5.5-9.5 cm broad, convex, tacky-sticky to viscid, tomentose to matted tomentose, mottled brown (6D-E8), soon grayish orange (5B5) and then pale yellow (4A3-3A3), with extensive sterile appendiculate margin with pale pinkish to white colors, soon disappearing. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, white at first, becoming pale porphyry pinkish, staining pale brownish. Stipe 10-11 cm long, 1.4-2 cm broad, equal and then tapering near base, dry, lacerate reticulate, white, developing deep yellow to yellowish brown stains in situ with age, white at base, with interior solid then somewhat pithy.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Eucalyptus sp. (eastern states, introduced), also ± E. diversicolor. Gregarious. On soil.
