Description:

Pileus 7 cm broad, convex, dry, areolate squamulose; areolae dull pale green with white flesh showing between, some areoles dull brownish pink to pale cinnamon. Flesh white, 2 cm thick, unchanging. Odor and taste mild. Tubes 1.5 cm long, deeply dressed around the stipe, 9C3, unchanging; pores concolorous, unchanging. Stipe 15 cm long, 1 cm broad, subclavate, hollow and white inside; surface dry, white, with coarse subalveolate reticulum, yellowish cream colored 4A3.
Habitat:

Montane cloud forest. Quercus humboldtii. Solitary. On soil.
