Specimen Notes: Filed with types. Typed note inside specimen packet: "No.4622. Coll.Nov.28,1933. H.E.Parks, Spruce Cove Trinidad, Humboldt Co.,California. Plants single, scattering and so far rare. small about I [1] cm or a little larger, emergent on wet ground under redwoods and salall [corrrected to Sala], globose, clean white, peridium thin floccose, rupturing, turing peacock blue when touched, gleba white when young, brown when mature, with sterile base and white rhizomorphs attached. Gleba white or brown as above, turning blue when exposed to air, labyrinthiform. Cut surfaces becoming greenish yellow when drying. Spores citriform, rough, pedicillate, pedicel 2-4 mu long, brown, not striate or apiculate as in ordinary Hymenogaster, approx. 37 by 18-20 mu. Many spores showing blue. Cells of gleba white with hyphae, stuffed, later being filled with mature brown spores. Two specimens only." A handwritten paragraph follows: "Basidia 4-spored septa pseudoparenchymatous Periderm pseudoparenchymatous, hyaline. Superficial hyphae large much septate"
