Description:

Pileus 8 cm broad, tacky, appressed subfibrillose, sulphur yellow with orange to brownish red stains, also bruising blue. Flesh light yellow, changing to blue slowly when exposed, 2 cm thick. Hymenophore tubulose; tubes yellow (4A6), staining blue; pores concolorous, staining blue when bruised. Stipe 5 x 2.5 cm, equal, tapered at base, dry, subpruinose, bright yellow (3A8), with developing orange stains in situ, bruising blue when bruised, rhubarb red at base, with interior yellow, changing to blue when exposed, apparently with white mycelium at base. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
Habitat:

Submontane cloud forest. Quercus seemannii, Quercus spp. Solitary. On soil.
