Description:
Pileus 3-11 cm broad, viscid in wet weather, matted fibrillose, convex or with subacute short umbo (rare), dark cinnamon brown. Flesh whitish, bluing, up to 2 cm thick. Tubes boletinoid, shallow, up to 2 mm long, yellow, bluing, decurrent. Stipe 2-6 cm long, 5-14 mm thick, ±equal to subclavate or narrower downward, central to eccentric, curved or strict; surface dry, pinkish brown, matted subtomentose to matted subfibrillose, with ochraceous buff sclerotia, the latter hard but brittle. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
